Was happy for this after 3 days on the trainer, and yesterday's hail/downpours/t-storms. Blue skies, fluffy cumulus clouds, intense green all around...I measured this ride in smiles per miles.

I was supposed to take it easy today after yesterday's ride, so I decided to do the CVC social ride which was very slow. I decided to add in a Rockstore/Upper Encinal/top of Yerba loop into the ride.

50.4 miles
5,476 ft elevation gain

Beautiful day today:

Great shot! Non riders just do not understand what you are presenting here.

I meet up with four other SoCal RiderS today. We all rode out to Woodland Hills to the Corner Bakery for coffee. Later after coffee two of us broke off to put in some more miles. We rode over Topanga Canyon to PCH. It was very peaceful today riding over the hill to the coast and PCH was claiming but alive. Then up we rode over Sepulveda Pass back to home. We just took our time and enjoyed the ride confirmed by my HR average.

I am late posting because I got home and started to do some planting and tree pruning. Then the SO and I put on a BBQ at our house with some friends. It was a great way to finish off the day. I have to go now because my dogs do not understand why I am not in bed with them. I am dog late in their minds.

65.2 miles; 2,579 feet; 94 HR average

First time on trainer since TT. This was my first interval session of the year. Forty minutes total.

Nothing epic or impressive; no pics, but I rode today, and that's what counts.

For the record, my legs had no starch, so I didn't do my planned hill-climbing ride. When I got home I felt good and was happy for the ride I had.

Did some climbing in Wrightwood today, then broke a spoke nipple on the front wheel, spoke is still intact so hopefully I can take it in and they can throw a new nipple in and true her up.

In the mean time I'm gonna take my new 29er to South Hills Park in Glendora tomorrow (today) and ride the XC course they have there.

Glad the problem wasn't more serious on that front wheel!
