Worse. That's when all the kids staying on campus jump in their cars to go out to eat, make beer and liquor runs, and just ride around.
Well, looks like even though the rain has stopped, no ride. My elderly friends (he's 91 and she's 86) just called and asked if I can come over (I know she has heart surgery coming up). She didn't sound well, so I suspect it's related to logistics of her surgery and post-surgery (he has a bit of dementia that comes and goes, so I know she's worried about him, given that she may have to be in the hospital for a few days). I've known these two for over 22 years. Sometimes I forget they're no longer in their 60's, even though both, 'til recently in her case, have remained active (treadmill and water aerobics) and both, 'til recently in his case, have remained mentally sharp. Well, I'm off.... Hope everyone has a nice Wednesday!

Webinar finished & quiz passed, work mostly caught up, belly full -- now time to stuff myself into my skinsuit, load the bike, and drive to TT practice. Some breezes blowing, nothing terrible, and about 90* = darned good conditions.

I turned myself nearly inside out...stats here. The official time at the end was 25:00. My Garmin told me 24:58, which starts when the countdown gets to 1, and concludes as I crossed the line. Whatever. Given the wind I'm happy with my result. Daughter had dinner and a pop-culture surprise for me: Absolutely Fabulous, the Olympics Edition, recorded, and a Hendricks Gin and lemon-lime Soda Stream combo that was as dry as a Kansas soy field.  Kid did good. Ready to call it a day. It's been one in which I rode on the edge of my seat nearly all day.

In Asheville for evening. I have my bike with me, but not especially in mood right this minute to ride. Also need a new pair of shoes, so maybe I go shopping for a bit, let traffic die down and head to the BRP around 6-6:30p for a, maybe, 10mi climb up and bomb descent.
And, since I'm near the mall, I think I will go shopping...

Tonight's garden harvest:
 Will be some salsa/pico de gallo this weekend....just need some 'maters and an onion. Maybe a touch of cilantro. btw, sorry it's such a crappy pic....cell phone (old one).
