Never made it to the farmers market. Instead, I washed 4 bikes and got them all clean & lubed.

Fried up some Spam and made myself a sandwich for supper. Maybe see what's on tv in a bit....

Priorities.

No Spam sammich here but glued to the telly, watching all the Olympic goodness. Love the HD. You can see who didn't shave, it's that sharp. And if you're a swimmer, and you didn't shave/wax, and didn't medal...well....

For the first time this summer, I woke up early to go swimming before work. Now I'm sleepy, my coffee needs more sugar and I don't have any, and I'm fantasizing about living on a beach somewhere in the south pacific.

The gym here at the office is closed for the next 6 weeks....starting today.
I'm gonna have to workout at home for the next month and a half....tonight, I guess I'll either do a spinerval dvd of one of the sufferfest videos I have....probably the sufferfest video, at least it provides some sort of scenery. Unfortunately, it'll probably be almost 9 pm before I can work that into the schedule.

Last night, we went on a canoe trip on a lake high in the Cascades behind Mount Bachelor. There were 12 of us on the trip. The guide took us out and we paddled our way to different areas. The moon was nearly fully and shinning on the water, bright as can be. We pulled up to a cove and built a campfire, sharing hot chocolate and sweets. Back on the water again, he pointed out features of the night sky and then....shooting star...one, two and a third!

We got back to shore after 11 and home by midnight. Awesome experience and highly recommended if you travel to Central Ore.

nesdog, that canoe trip sounds fab-yoo-lous!

About 10 yrs. ago we went moonlight kayaking on the Sacramento River Delta around Christmas. Full moon, not too cold, just like black velvet with glittering diamond pinpoints of light overhead.

I'll keep that in mind for when we head to OR next time. Glad you're having such a great time!

That just became my "happy place" for the moment. Thanks!
