We have a house guest tonight and possibly through the weekend....a small puppy. Abandoned on road side, elderly couple brought into vet when I was there getting Tiger's food. Were taking to SPCA, but I told them if they wouldn't take her, to call me. So, they called. They can't keep cause wife is very allergic, so now I have her.
Friend at work is associated with rescue group and I will see if she knows what I can do with her. I don't really want to keep her cause she appears to be part German Shepard and, after my last rescue, I've learned we like things the way they are around here. Did manage to get a 19+ mile ride in with Dallas this evening in just over an hour. Will ride again Saturday. But, now I'm going to bed while everyone is quite and sleeping.

Worked later than I'd planned so was on the fence about a team ride. When I was walking into the house when my left knee groaned, "Night off, please." And who am I to argue with a knee?
 So I got busy, grilling corn on the cob and swordfish, and my propane tank fizzled out.  had to finish cooking in the oven/broiler.  Mr. RR is taking off tomorrow. We're planning for some Kristen Armstrong-style hill intervals before I head to the office to sign disclosures with buyers. A 1.4 yr. short sale finally gains traction.  Go figure.

Crikey. Learned my lesson this morning. When you wake up after a good night's rest, go ahead and get up while the gettin' is good. I was lazily lying there on my back, eyes closed, listening to the news when I heard something that caught my attention. I lifted my head and looked right and felt something pull, almost like a small tear. Ouchie!
 Now I have that classic "crick" in my right neck. Hope it feels better before I have to leave for the hospital. Maybe another cup of coffee would help.

Thanks, az. Fortunately, I am used to using mirrors when I drive, but I still hate not being able to turn my head to the right without sharp pain. I also can't rotate my head toward my right shoulder while looking forward. Ouch!

Stopped at petsmart for another crate cause I couldn't find the one I had for Tucker. Also bought puppy food, potty pads, & a collar. I hope to get up with the girl from work this weekend who is big in the rescue group and see if she can help find another home for Puppy.
If not, I suppose I can keep her till we find another home. One thing for sure, this is a one dog household - Taylor sure doesn't like her.Gotta run...hair appt.
