Since it's been so hot I've been going out in the evening and doing intensity work, it's amazing what you can do in 45 minutes. http://app.strava.com/rides/17599139

Long ride this weekend if I can find one, I haven't ridden over 50 miles in a while.

Thanks, Mark. When I backed off and got perspective, it wasn't as bad a ride as I originally perceived it to be. Clearly I was off my game; I can usually tell when I'm up for the suffering, and altho the numbers say differently, I know I was definitely mentally not there.

Managed this today, before it got triple-digit hot. Tried to create the conditions for my road race tomorrow. We may have done so, except that everyone is racing, so double the speed, double the suffering.

Yes.

It hurt. 15th. Started out in the high 80's and nearly 100* at the finish.

Sunday I rode from Oxnard to Summerland and back all along the coast. I just took in the sights and made it easy. Of course I had to stop at the Surf Dog for something to eat. The weather was so nice and cool with a good tail wind home.

66 miles; 764 feet; average HR 92
