The local time trials have started up: Affectionately known as the Putah Creek Smackdown, this is a 10 mi. out-and-back TT on a table-top flat, good condition country road through walnut orchards, tomato, sunflower & hops fields. It's free, held every other Wednesday at 6 pm (2nd one tomorrow, 3/26/14).

Four time throughout the season they hold a 40K TT, which is very challenging and very common. There's one held on the Sunday before Labor Day that's 30K, so I know if I nail the 40K I'm in for a podium on the 30K.

I know most of you are in SoCal, but if you're in NorCal and want to give this a try, give me a holler -- am happy to help.
