Just don't be afraid to grieve. It's as process, we all go through it, although everyone goes there own pace. Some cry out loud, some cry internally....but either way, it's what we need to do.

And I really like the azalea garden idea.
Yes, this. Nicely said, MV.

And +1 on the azalea garden. I love azaleas, and I love this idea.

Actually managed to run 3x this week. I might be able to actually run this T2T in a half way decent time for me.

Happy Sunday afternoon everyone.
Grocery shopping done. Walking the dog...done.
1 hour archery practice....done.
currently watering the grass seed I put out yesterday (and more today).
Temps are supposedly headed down into the 40's tonight here.....so I'm making the first batch of chilli for the season. I love a piping hot (both ways) bowl of chilli.

Took a train ride along the Hudson river to the mid-Hudson valley to attend a fund raising event for my cousin's urban farm. The event was held at a tapas restaurant where the wine and cured meats flowed freely. Not a bad way to spend the day. I might take my bike next time since the nearest train station is 20 miles from the farm.

Did the shop ride today and did almost 50% of the pulling for the first 30 mi. I didn't mind; I count it as training. Then when one of the shop wrenches sprinted, I followed, with only one following me. I bridged up to the hotshot to deliver the guy on my wheel, and nobody helped me. WTF?

Still, I had a lot of fun, and having 3 days of riding (after 6 days of not) feels normal.

Moanday-blech!

And the TPMS idiot light in the car came on this afternoon. I need to get that checked sometime soon. None of the tires look low on pressure. I bet a sensor went bad.

THe last 2 are special to me - have always been my favorite and I do wish that I lived a lot closer so that I could visit more often. I guess a 2:45-3hr drive up once in a while to visit with them would be good. I know they would enjoy that. All in all - it was an ok day yesterday. I am very tired of all the driving though....but, I will need to make another or 2 trips back to the Conover area in the next couple of weeks and then should be done for a while.

Cleaned up inside a bit this morning, then headed to Lowe's for some azaleas. I'm going to plant them in the shaded/wooded area between the fence and woods, making it a somewhat of a shaded garden. Also, my Dad loved azaleas, so they will be planted with him in mind and when they bloom next year, I will think of him and smile.

I do miss him. Why do I feel so lost now without him? It was hard to get up this morning and do all I did, but I just can't lay in bed. I could have just sat around the house all morning, but I'm trying to make myself get up and do stuff - keeps my mind off of him a bit and allows me to get some stuff done....

Trainer called - he's sick so we are going to meet tomorrow instead, assuming he's feeling better. Taylor has become a little hellion of late...more my fault than hers, so I need to get trained up again so that the pack gets back on track.

Guess I best get off of here...like VV, I've got a list of things to take care of, including the planting and I ain't getting it done while on here.... Maybe I'll get out for a bike ride later this evening too.
Definitely do this. They won't be here forever. You could even take your bike and get in a short ride. They surely wouldn't mind.

I like the azalea idea, too. My maternal grandmother always had them, and seeing azaleas reminds me of wonderful summer days spent at her house near the beach.
