Rode up to Dawson Saddle this morning. I felt good, setting all kinds of PR's, and the weather was amazing-- 60 to 65 and cloudy the whole way. I stopped briefly at Red Box and Newcomb's, then ate a bar at Dawson. There is new chip seal past Dawson, so I turned around. I descended 39 and rode back to Pasadena. This part of my ride was hotter. I said hi to the Adobo guys at Encanto. I had to add a lap at the Rose Bowl to give me 100 and 10k.

This stupid bug is still with me. It is getting better, but very, very slowly. It is amazing that the incremental improvement from regular riding becomes a huge nose-dive if a week (or two) are missed due to illness.
So another stellar (?) 30 mile day today. All local, and mostly flat. "Climbing" away from the Los Robles Greens golf course toward Westlake actually did me in. So I concentrated on form, high cadence, and hydration. It truly was beautiful out. I love riding in this weather.

Finally got to ride after 9 days without.
The weather's great, there was little to no wind, and fresh legs = totally satisfying ride.I feel like my old self again. ![]()

The clouds were so low, and it was so overcast, I donned 3 layers and expected rain.
No rain, just an easy ride, and a good use of my time. The walnut harvest is on, and there were people in the orchards, who smiled, waved, hollered greetings. I really enjoyed the interaction with them.

43 miles under sunny skies. Started out with the shop group, got spit out the back (as usual in Hidden Valley...sigh), got back on when they stopped, got spit out the back on Lynn (sigh), back on with a stop and spit out dropping into Moorpark. Enough chasing....I bailed and took Read Bypass towards home. It's depressing getting dropped! These guys are strong and I have no chase when they ramp it up. Well, at least I got a good workout and actually hung in for the first 30 miles so I guess that is something. Didn't drink enough water and now I'm bonky.

Went up to ride w/a couple friends and 16 of their friends in the foothills. Beautiful scenery, decent roads, and oy! plenty of climbing. I was slow
but then I don't do a lot of hilly rides. So maybe I should do this about once a month and see if I get better.
