Glad to see VV's got new goals and MV's healthy (altho if if a cute nurse was rubbing my chest, sleep would be the furthest thing in mind

-- getting old is for da boids, I tell ya.
So we used yesterday to collect and go through 10 days of mail, clean house, wash new car, weed & trim front garden, laundry, clean fridge, grocery-shop, wash stinky dogs (normally Schipperkes don't have a doggy odor, but after 10 days on the ranch, they were filthy & smelly), then I grilled corn, peppers & salmon on the grill. Oh, and we went to the flo' sto' & picked 8 samples of birch and acacia wood to bring home...took us all of 20 min. to pick our fave. Returned samples, ordered the goods, wrote a hefty check.
Work commences Monday. Thursday our plantation shutters will be installed. Our upstairs will be a crazy out-of-kilter work site for a week or so. I'm excited about the results and dreading the moving furniture/tearing out carpet/dust/inconvenience part.
So then our Coldwell Banker corporate sold our office to 2 local big real estate firms that merged and bought a CB franchise. For those couple hundred agents, it's a huge step up -- they get all the CB branding, education, marketing tools -- for us CB agents, it's a step down -- they can't offer anything other than their name.

The worst is that we CB agents were the last to know -- evidently the newspapers (got interviewed as President of our Association + a CB agent; hope they get their sh!t straight when they quote me), affiliated businesses, even other brokers knew about it. And that's what makes me the most angry.

We get short-shrift and they treat us like poor relations. *fume*
I have options -- will probably join a local independent broker with whom I've worked who I know I can trust, who has offered mentoring (as a former Association President) and friendship. I just am tired of the drama -- I just want to sell houses!
Shift happens...this, too, shall pass...
